“Forget the former things; do not dwell on the past. See, I am doing a new thing! Now it springs up; do you not perceive it? I am making a way in the wilderness and streams in the wasteland.” — Isaiah 43:18-19
As summer draws to a close, we often find ourselves reflecting on the memories we’ve made and the moments we’ve shared. For many, the end of summer signifies a transition—a time to prepare for the next season. Whether you’re gearing up for the busy holiday trucking schedules or simply adjusting to a new routine, this is a time to anticipate new beginnings with faith.
Just as the changing seasons remind us of the natural cycle of endings and beginnings, our spiritual journey is also marked by these transitions. It’s easy to hold on to the comfort and familiarity of the past, but God encourages us to let go and embrace the new things He is doing in our lives. Trusting in God means believing that He is constantly working, even when we can’t see it. When we anticipate new beginnings with faith, we allow God to create pathways in the wilderness and streams in our deserts. As truckers, every mile driven and every route taken can be seen as a metaphor for our journey with God. We may not always know what lies ahead, but we can trust that He is leading us to new opportunities and growth. Are you willing to let go of the past and embrace the new beginnings God has in store for you?
Just as seasons change, God brings new opportunities in our lives. Let go of the past and step into the new with faith and anticipation.
Heavenly Father, thank You for the changing seasons that remind us of Your constant presence and guidance. Help us to let go of the past and trust in the new beginnings You have planned for us. Give us the faith to anticipate Your good work in our lives, knowing that You are always making a way. In Jesus’ name, Amen.
