180 Days Later: Reflections on Growth and Progress

When we think of July, we often think of summer activities such as beach trips, enjoying ice cream on a hot summer day, or spending time outdoors with family. However, at J. Walker Transportation we see July as a time for celebration, on July 27th, we celebrated our 180th successful day of business operations.

This milestone may seem small, but at J. Walker Transportation, we know the importance of celebrating both small and big wins. We have achieved 180 days of on-time deliveries for our brokers and clients, a significant accomplishment in the trucking industry. When starting a new trucking business, finding brokers willing to work with new carriers can be a challenge. Brokers often require a minimum of 180 days to 1 year of experience before contracting with a carrier. This is due to various reasons, such as lack of driving history, inspections, or percentage of on-time deliveries. This can create a problem since the majority of shippers and receivers rely on brokers to move their freight. Despite these challenges, we at J. Walker Transportation are proud to celebrate our 180th consecutive day of successful business operations. We are confident in our ability to continue providing exceptional service to our brokers and clients.  In our first 180 days J. Walker Transportation signed contracts to pull freight on behalf of Uber Freight, Coyote Logistics, JJT Transportation, Swift/Knight Transportation, Nolan Transportation Group, RWI Logistics, Sheertrans Solutions, and TQL – Total Quality Logistics.

We would to thank our direct clients: Convoy of Hope of Springfield, MO., Illuminate Production Services of Lincilon, CA. and Light The Way Ministries of Ozark, MO., for your continued business and the opportunity to work alongside you.

We continue to look for opportunities to grow our company and serve our clients directly, removing the need to hire brokers and offering our clients a better solution to make sure they have strong communication from the time load is booked until it is delivered.

We are also excited to announce that we have applied for a contract to pull freight on behalf of Amazon and are awaiting an answer on our pending application.

We would also like to welcome our newest client Nelson Audio of Eldon, MO. We look forward to working alongside you.
